And I wanted to show you what I've been up to lately...
I've been working on a couple of Baby Collections for my Zazzle Store.
This one is called "Baby Love" and I love the soft pink...
makes me want to borrow someone's baby girl to give some lovin' to!!


And this little "Roly Poly" just makes me smile! What can I say?  :-)

Don't you think they would make great themes for Baby Shower Parties? 
I started imagining little cellophane bags filled with candies with the little
tags ribbon-tied to each bag. And the stickers being used to make cupcake
toppers!  I'm thinking about designing the cupcake wrappers to go with them
but we'll see.  Oh so much fun I get to have designing products that will be
a blessing to celebrating life's special moments!


Right now, these two collections consist of Baby Shower Invitations and Party
Favor Stickers and Tags but I plan on adding more items to the collections in
the days to come!  If you know anyone who's in the planning stages of
celebrating a new baby or one on the way, I'd love it if you'd pass along the

The "Beautiful Baby" has arrived!

I told you a few days ago that I was working on the "Blessed Baby" collection and I was. But in the process of putting it together, I changed my mind... and the name... to "Beautiful Baby" Clip Art Collection... and I love it!

Summer Has Arrived and Babies are Coming

We went from a chilly wet spring to a blistery hot summer almost overnight... from highs in the 60's to over 100 yesterday depending on where you were! So now the challenge is not to complain about having too much sunshine and heat!!

A PEEK into MY BACKYARD

I spent the cooler morning hours yesterday working outside and thought you might enjoy a peek at some of the God's beauty that's growing out my back door.

This is a newly created bed of necessity... that concrete circle under the bird bath is the lid to to our septic which we had to work around when we poured the new patio last fall. I finally got around to planting it and must say the birds like it already!

I love our little rock wall... great for contrast in texture and moss... and I love moss... in the right places! The daisies are wild but I have to leave a few in the beds every year just for fun.

Love this rose... the deer won't eat and it's gorgeous!

These daylilies are just so stately.

A THOUGHT TO PONDER

Does this photo not just shout... "Be still and know that I am God"? It does to me... I can hear God calling out... "stop your work and come sit with Me... be quiet and rest... delight not only in the beauty of my creation but delight in my love for you. Know that I am God... your God... sovereign over all creation... and sovereign over your life. You can trust Me... rest in Me... let stillness find its place in your heart and thoughts. I am the One who holds all your tomorrows in the palm of my hand... I am "

SNEAK PREVIEW

 Just wanted to let you know I've also been working on my next clip art kit... "Baby Blessings" using some of the art from my book "HeavenSent Baby". Here's a sneak peak...

I'm already thinking of all the possibilities, not only for scrapbooking, but for baby showers and gift-giving... you should be seeing the "Baby Blessings" Collection a little later this week!

Dear Lord,
You are an awesome God... full of mercy and grace.  Remind us to take time today to simply be still and think about just how great You are. Remind us too, that no matter what our circumstances are or what we hear in the news, You are God and You are sovereign and we are Yours. Help us to rest in You. Amen.

God Uses the National Enquirer!

I guess if God can speak through a donkey... surely He can use whatever vehicle He chooses to declare His Name and promote His gospel!  I've never bought a National Enquirer but I was glad that a friend of mine did buy this edition... check this out...

I know you can't read it and I admit I didn't research to find out anything about Joel's faith but what made my friend email me with this article is the photo of my "HeavenSent Baby" book in the center of the article and even though Joel calls it a children's book, here's what it says...

Okay... is that cool or what?  And in the National Enquirer!!  He reads her scripture!! Wow!

Please pray for Nicole to find Jesus... HE LOVES HER... and baby girl Harlow!  And nothing is too big for God!  Joel may not look like the "typical" Christian but only God knows His heart and I'm believing God has a great plan for Him in the days to come! It's got to be tough being a celebrity and wanting to follow Jesus... they need all the prayer they can get!

Almighty God... Creator of the universe and Savior of all mankind... Nicole needs You Father... her life has been full of torment and trouble and she needs Your forgiveness and the power of the Holy Spirit in her life. Open her eyes to see how beautiful You are and how deep and wide Your love for her truly is. We ask for her salvation Lord and we know that nothing is too hard for You. Bless her and baby Harlow and Joel... reveal Yourself and Your will to them and use them in the coming days as witnesses to all the world.

"HeavenSent Baby" Opens Webstore with Blessing!

I can be such a dreamer!  I wanted to do so much more to my webstore over the summer but I just ran out of time... I know that never happens to any of you, does it?  But I finally decided... after a few very encouraging emails... that it was time to put out the welcome mat and hang the OPEN sign once again. Even though I don't have everything in stock that I had wanted... I do have most of the books and I will be adding to the selections as product comes in. 

But for now... can you hear the drumrolll?  I am thrilled to introduce to you... my newest book... HeavenSent Baby!

Every baby is a heaven sent gift from God... and I know you would agree. I remember holding my own newborn baby and my grandbabies and just gazing at their tiny little fingers and toes... stroking the softness of their skin... and being in awe of the beauty of God's handiwork in such a small package.  But I can also remember all the questions that came with motherhood... mostly questions about my own ability to be a mom to this tiny little gift from God.

There is always a part of me in every book I write and illustrate and I know that I was thinking of that mom with questions... the kind of questions I had... as I penned the pages. This little book was created to be a warm and gentle hug to the heart of every new mom... whether they are a first-time mom or experienced, whether the baby is adopted or was born from her own womb... a reminder to them that they are not alone.

I love that God is the most perfect matchmaker and He sovereignly chooses which babies go to which moms... because remember... there are no accidents in God's glorious plan for our lives... or the lives of our babies!  Here's a poem from the book...

May your heart overflow
with thankfulness and love
as you ponder this miraculous
gift from God above.

For you have been given
this sweet little treasure
to give your life purpose
and fill it with pure pleasure.

So when the question comes...
if you're qualified to mother...
know this child is God's gift to you...
not given to another!
