Is this the most fun ultimate makeover or what?
I loved experimenting with the funky style of this girl's face... but she ended
up looking a bit too much like a flapper girl... but I was willing to live with it.
Until... a sweet friend boldly told me that she looked hung-over! Ouch!
Well... I decided she was right... and so with paintbrush in hand...
I sobered her up and gave her a total makeover...
I like her sooooo much better now! I'm not sure I'm totally done with her yet...
but after so many years of painting only with non-forgiving watercolors,
I am sooooo thankful for acrylic paint and
the opportunity it gives you to cover over a multitude of mistakes!
Hmmmm... reminds me of what the Bible says in 1 Peter 4:8...
Above all, love each other deeply,
because love covers over a multitude of sins.
So I got to thinking... our love is like acrylic paint! We can't erase or wash away
people's sins... only Christ can do that... but we can care about people so much
and love them so deeply that we can no longer see their sins but only the person
created in God's image and their captive heart that Jesus died to set free.
So girlfriends... pick up those paint brushes and
let's go paint our world with LOVE!
