Here Birdy Birdies

It's great to be feeling good again... back to work... enjoying life... and savoring some moments with my girls. A big thank you to all of you who sent your prayers and encouragements during my down time... I love you all!

There's so many things I want to share with you but this is a favorite.  Last weekend Jess came over and we made suet bird feeders together. It was a fun and easy project, filling the scooped out orange halves with all kinds of seeds, nuts and fruits held together with a peanut butter and lard mixture... a tasty treat to truly delight our fine feathered friends.

I kept four of the feeders here and she took the other four home with her.It took two days for this black headed grossbeak to find the one outside our dining room window... but how much fun to watch him enjoy this special treat.

Look at the birds of the air;
they do not sow or reap or store away in  barns
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Heavenly Father,
It brings a smile to my face to stop for a minute and let myself remember and reflect on the fact that you not only love me but value me. I think about how much joy these birds bring to me as I watch them simply go about their business and I cannot help but hope that we bring the same joy to you and even more. I also realize Lord, that just as you are the ultimate feeder of the birds, I used what you have given me to feed them too... much like how you use each of us as vessels of your love and blessings and provision to one another. So many thoughts to be gleaned from such a short passage Lord... let my heart consider to meditate on promises of your Word... and today... I choose not to worry but to trust you more! Amen.

Forget me... not!

According to my plan, this month was going to be all about Forget-Me-Nots... I love these little charmers! I was going to do the drawing for the Morning Glory Garden kit the first of May and have the Forget-Me-Not Digital Art kit ready to offer at the same time. I was so excited! And I can be such a dreamer! I am still convinced that the digital art kits are in God's plans and not just my own, but as we all know... His timing does not always coincide with ours.

So I just wanted to take a minute to give you an update on life here at Karla's Korner...

1. I was very sick... the ugly knock down do nothing kind of sick... for almost two weeks... but am now on the mend... thank You Lord.

2. Presently trying to play catch up on everything that didn't get done while being sick... glad to have enough energy back to work on it.

3. Am speaking for a Retreat in Pennsylvania this weekend and that is my priority... am believing that God has a potentially life-changing word for the women there! Please pray for my voice to come back fully before then!

4. The program I planned on using for you to download the digital files has a glitch in it and I have to figure it out... that might have to wait until next week... but am looking forward to it.

5. Still have a bug to work out in the Morning Glory Garden files before I can do the drawing but I might be able to finish that up before I leave for the Retreat... and am excited about it!

So just wanted you to know that I had forgot-you-not and thanks for forgetting-me-not as well! I am looking forward to getting back on track with the Forget-Me-Not theme for the month of June... God willing!

Even though I don't always understand, I know without a doubt that Your ways are so much greater and better than my ways... for You know me better than I know myself and Your desire for me is always for my good and Your glory. And because You know the beginning and the end, I can trust You that the step You have determined for me today will draw me one step closer to You and one step closer to fulfilling the plan You have for my life.
